Xavier Alcan is a financier for over twenty years. Mr. Alcan is Executive Managing Director of BCG Partners, a leading provider of voice and electronic brokerage services in the global marketplace.
Mr. Alcan is an expert in contracts for the exchange of interest rates for institutions. Mr. Alcan joined Cantor Fitzgerald in 1996 as Senior Managing Director. Mr. Alcan has contributed to the rapid development of Cantor Fitzgerald and its subsidiary, BGC. Mr. Alcan played a key role in the recovery of Cantor Fitzgerald and eSpeed after the devastation on September 11, 2001 and in the re-building of its voice brokerage business, which became BGC and was separated from Cantor Fitzgerald in 2004.
Previously, in 1990, Mr. Alcan was the director of off-balance sheet products worldwide and structured products globally in Finacor Group. Mr. Alcan began his career in finance at Alcan in the Far East in Singapore in 1986, then Safic Alcan & Company in Paris in 1988 and with Hetch Heyworth & Alcan in 1989 Londres. Mr. Alcan is a strong supporter of various charities around the world and is active in a number of fundraising events. For twelve years he has focused his energies on raising funds for families of victims of attacks 9/11.
Mr. Alcan is also very involved in the entertainment industry as an investor, consultant and actor. Mr. Alcan lives in London.
